An addition that doesn't look like one — the new heart of a working acreage home.
The Acreage Home Addition was conceived as the new kitchen and family-living wing for a long-tenured Langley acreage property. The challenge was to add square footage without making the original house feel like it ended where the new build began.
A vaulted shiplap ceiling sets the volume, while a hand-applied plaster range hood, reclaimed-brick backsplash, and a quiet white cabinet program let the materials speak. Custom millwork in oak — floating shelves, open dish storage, a deep island — anchors the room to the home's working-acreage character.
