A craftsman built into the slope, designed to make the most of its view.
Eagle Mountain sits on a sloped lot above Abbotsford, where managing grade was as much a design challenge as a build challenge. A heavy stone-clad base anchors the home and lifts the main living level to capture the long valley views, while a deep wraparound porch with cross-bracing detail keeps the proportions grounded.
Inside, the craftsman vocabulary continues — beadboard accents, timber posts, and warm millwork — adapted for a modern family. Every room was planned around how light moves through the site over the course of a day.
